The European Association for Data Protection Professionals (EADPP) Ireland branch hosts a free webinar on Wednesday the 29th April 2020 with the subject matter “Cybersecurity and Data Protection: Are they the same?”
As many Data Protection professionals regularly encounter clients who equate Cybersecurity preparedness with GDPR compliance, the aim of this webinar is to examine the question as to whether they are indeed the same by covering the following key points:
- The differences and overlaps between GDPR and Cybersecurity
- Organisational exposure to data protection risks
- The challenge in communicating with key decision makers
The speaker of the webinar will be Mr. Felim O’Neill, Data Protection Consultant of DigiTorc Ireland. Mr. O’Neill has over 30 years of international business experience as a Product Manager, Business Owner and Consultant in Telecommunications and IT industries. After many roles both as a Business and Solutions Architect, Mr. O’Neill has extensive experience in Organisational Transformations with an emphasis on network security and data protection. Additionally, Mr. O’Neill has a BS Degree in Applied Physics/Electronics, a Higher Diploma in Electronic Engineering and is a PECB accredited Data Protection Officer.
